FRESH THE MOVIE

Thanks to Rick over at Heavenly Homestead in Monticello for recommending FRESH the movie. He hinted that they might be bringing a screening to this area. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, support your local growers. Rick and Amy produce some wonderful, wholesome
eggs and chickens that are healthy, antibiotic free and never caged. You can order chickens for the entire season and they will lovingly grow them for you and even provide yummy, easy recipes.

The movie is co-hosted by Heavenly Homestead and FAMU Statewide Small Farms Program. Tupelo's will be hosting the round table discussion "Getting Started with Sustainable Food & Living". If you have just started on this path toward a more organic way of eating and living but have experienced bumps along the path, then this is the group for you! At this meeting of the group we will organize ourselves and set a light agenda of issues / items we'd like to address in our quest to more toward a more sustainable lifestyle. This group is open to anyone pre-teen and older. Bring a notebook and a eager spirit. FREE. 6 p.m.

MOVIE SHOWING ... FRESH the movie will be shown at 7 p.m. This great new film by Ana Sophia Joanes highlights the issues and sends a positive message regarding our own actions within the food movement. This movie gives us pause to think how we can each move toward a more humane, environmentally sound, locally based food system. Join us.
